M.A.D. Hippos ClubThis is a featured page

Mud And Dirt Hippos is a club for Landrover Freelander owners (owners of other 4x4's welcome) that don't just want to polish their car but take them green laning and offroading with other like minded people. As a club we want to prove and show other Landrover & 4x4 owners that Freelanders are not just for doing the shopping run in but will actually go offroad. But most of all we want to enjoy our vehicles and use them as Landrover intended.

Maybe we could absail M.A.D. Hippos Club - M.A.D. Hippos ClubNo polish in sight[Untitled]

During the year the club arranges various offroad days at various sites, we also intend to hold stands / visit as many of the Landrover shows as possible.

THE HIPPO

You might ask why we use the word 'Hippos' when we the bulk of our members drive Freelanders, well if you have a look at this early advert from Landrover you will understand why!

As those members who attended Driffield show are aware the club has now become an affiliated member of GLASS (Green Lane Assosiation).

By popular demand, plan to run the east Cumbria lanes trip on Sunday 6th November. Bit of everything on this one, including driving the highest public road in England. Will meet in High Hesket at the pub, set off 9.30 / 10am. Just mindful of the fact clocks will have changed by then . . .

Hi was wondering if anyone can help me im new to owning and using a freelander , i have bought a set of roof rails for a 3 door f1 (front to back ones) hoping to use them for waffles hi lift shovel ect. But when i tried to fit them i found that a bit was missing it is the bit for the front mounting that goes between the body and the roof rail it bolts on the roof then you bolt the rail to it. Ive seen the bit in the fitting instructions but its not available as a part. If anyone has one or has any dimensions id be grateful thanks.

Russ1975 Bearmach 2" lift kit 2 Sep 30 2011, 6:58 PM EDT by Russ1975

Please. I need some advise. I have had my lift kit for 3 months and cannot find anyone to fit it (no-one wants to tackle it). Can anyone advise me of a garage in the south Yorkshire area that will help? I think I have all the bits (brake pipes, camber bolts, 35mm spacers). I have even found a garage that will set up the camber. Winter is coming and I really want to get if fitted.
Hope someone can help
